We bid farewell to Joydell Janner of Brenham, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 10, 2025 at the age of 91. Joydell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As we bid adieu to Joydell's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Joydell has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Wieghat and Dora Riechers Wieghat. She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Leigh (Brian Jurries) and Cheryl Janner-McGuire (Dan McGuire); her grandchildren, Chase McGuire (Rachel) of Houston, Cameron McGuire (Jennette) of Houston, Madison Averitt of College Station and Drake Averitt of Tomball; and her siblings-in-law, Alvin Janner of College Station, Calvin Janner (Judy) of Ridgefield, Washington and Christine Janner of Brenham. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Memorial Oaks Chapel (1306 W Main St, Brenham, TX 77833). A burial will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Prairie Lea Cemetery (1004 Prairie Lea St, Brenham, TX 77833).
