LaVerne Helen Blasingame Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of LaVerne Helen Blasingame (Brenham, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 27, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Brinkmeyer and Malinda Brinkmeyer (Muegge); her husband George Richard Blasingame; her sons, Lee Edward Baca, Jr. and John Charles Baca; and her siblings, William Brinkmeyer, Alvin Brinkmeyer, Anita Thielmann and Raymond Brinkmeyer.

She is survived by: her children, Alicia Marie Needham (Jim) and Everett J. Hurst; her grandchildren, Clark Needham (Allison), Lauren Handlin (Justin), Kenton Needham (Stephanie), Emilee Anthony (Hunter) and Ethan Hurst; her brother Charles Brinkmeyer (Patsy); and her nieces and nephews, Karl Brinkmeyer, Andrea Young, Latrell Jankowiak, Terri Garmer and Craig Brinkmeyer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Gay Hill.
