He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Cunningham and Ruthie Cunningham; and his siblings, Elmo, Samuel Jr., Norman, Joyce, Marion and Jimmy Dorsey.

He is survived by: his wife TaShonda Cunningham; his children, Arianna Cunningham Clark (William) and Tristan Cunningham; and his brothers, André Cunningham (Pam), David Cunningham Sr. (Rebecca) and Collin Brown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
