Nancy Vernon Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Vernon of Brenham, Texas, who passed away on August 17, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Nivens and Estelle Nivens; her husband Walter "Jerry" Vernon; her sister Mable Powers; and her cousin Marie Hendrickson.
She is survived by: her sister Mabel Powers; her children, Gwen (Reggie Brown) and Dwayne Vernon (Sue); her grandchildren, Nicole (John Rausch), Chad Brown (Kelly) and Carrie; her great grandchildren, Mason Rausch, Ashton Rausch, Hunter Warren, Shelbie Warren, Lillie Warren and Emmerson Brown; her pet Theo; her grandsons, John Rausch and Trey Stash; her nephew Don Vernon; and her friend Joe Meschwitz.
By family request, in lieu of flowers, they ask for donations to be made to Hospice Brazos Valley in honor of Nancy, who spent many of her final days with her loving caretaker, Cabrini.
