She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Preyan Sr. and Ida Preyan (Bazile); her husband Purvis Warren Brumfield; her great grandchild Anna Clayton; her siblings, Joseph Preyan Jr., Lesley Preyan, Freddie Preyan, Howard Preyan, Marcelite Clements and Anabele Oubre; and her in-laws, Holis and Asa.
She is survived by: her daughter Theresa; her son-in-law Leroy Solomon of Brenham; her grandchildren, Sheena Soetan of Houston, Alvin Clayton Sr. and Christian of Austin; her great grandchildren, Maya Kogo of Houston, Jennifer Clayton of Austin, Alvin Clayton Jr. of Austin and Ava Clayton of Austin; her brother Harold Preyan (Lillie Mae) of New Orleans; and her siblings-in-law, Randolph (Constance Brumfield) of Brenham and Mattie Wells of Brenham. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
