He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Meredith Wallace and Lucille Matilda Langford Wallace; his brothers, Bill, James and Jerry; his wives, Ann Byrnes and Jackie (Jackie); and his granddaughter Laura Wendt Wallace.
He is survived by: his son Melvin Douglas (Doug); his grandson Matt; his children, Larry (Linda Wallace), James (Benita Wallace), Cliff Wallace of Brenham, Scott (Becky Niemann) and Cathy Dawson of Brenham; his stepdaughter Debbie Schindler Sager of Maxwell; his grandchildren, Andrew (Amber Wallace), Amanda Wallace (Leander Van Hecke), Carol Ann Dawkins of Burton, William Wallace Jr. (Kyrstin Richards), Aubrey (Preston Sequeira), Kayla Wolfenden of Brenham, Kayce Wallace of College Station and Matthew (Jenna Sager); and his great grandchildren, Laura Dawkins, Tyler Dawkins, Wayne Reep, William Lawrence Wallace III, Conor Wallace, Emi Sequeira, Oliver Wolfenden, Kloey Sager, Katie Sager, Kamryn Sager and Killian Sager. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
