He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Andrew and Bonnie Jean Gajeske Schlottmann. He is survived by: his wife Janice Ann Schlottmann; his children, Dr. Jennifer DeVoke (John) of Brenham and Dr. Christopher Schlottmann (Lisa) of College Station; his grandchildren, Renee DeVoke, Sara DeVoke of Brenham, Evan Schlottmann and Dylan Schlottmann of College Station; his brothers, Carl Schlottmann of Brenham and Don Schlottmann (Michelle) of Burton; his brothers-in-law, Darryl Herrmann (Linda) and Jerry Herrmann; his siblings' children, James Schlottmann (Christy) of Brenham, Austin Schlottmann (Lauren) of Fort Worth, Michael Herrmann of Brenham, Cheryl Moran (Buzz), Rachel Villarreal (Digo) of Austin and Taylor Solomon (Spencer); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aidan Smith, Ethan Smith, Felix Moran, Connor Schlottmann and C. J. Langley. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Oaks Chapel (1306 W Main St, Brenham, TX 77833). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (305 W Third St, Brenham, TX 77833). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Prairie Lea Cemetery (1004 Prairie Lea St, Brenham, TX 77833).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham or the Washington County Senior Center.
