She was predeceased by: her father Edward Strangmeyer; her husband Mark Marburger; her aunt Marilyn Albers; her father-in-law Marvin Marburger; her grandparents, Edward, Minnie Strangmeyer, Eddie and Minnie Albers; and her grandparents-in-law, Wollie, Alma Marburger, Louis and Lizzie Ganske.
She is survived by: her mother Evelyn Strangmeyer; her sons, Mason (Katlyn Marburger) and Grayson (Katie Marburger); her grandchildren, Elodie, Winna, Merritt, Vyla, Heidi and Jessa; her sister Stacy; her brother-in-law Rocky Ullrich; her mother-in-law Joyce Marburger; her siblings-in-law, Gary, Rocksann Marburger, Beth and Jerry Kunkel; and her sibling's children, Paden Ullrich, Reanna (David Arvidson), Clinton Marburger and Cody Kunkel. She is also survived by extended family and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Oaks Chapel (1306 W Main St, Brenham, TX 77833). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (6605 Old Independence Rd, Brenham, TX 77833).
Memorial contributions may be made in Shanan's memory to Brenham Pregnancy Center and to the Brenham Police Department (Memo: K9 Program), honoring the places where her sons faithfully serve.
