She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence Giles; her son Spencer Scott; her parents, Walter Harmel and Nellie Harmel; and her siblings, Brenda Harmel Goodson and Aubrey Harmel.
She is survived by: her children, Shane Scott (Amy) of Lake Jackson, TX, Summer Scott-Sexton (Tim) of Los Angeles, CA and Stayton Scott of Burton, TX.; and her great grandchildren, Jeronimo, Audrey (Kyle), Riley (Nicole), Lainey, Martina, Korbin, Eliseo, Ariella, Max and Madelyn.
