She was predeceased by: her parent Shirley Johnson; her husband Norman Chanin; her grandparents, Irene and Jack Roach Sr.; her father Luke Johnson Sr.; and her brothers, Luke Johnson Jr., Luke Johnson III (Jenny), Peter Johnson (Erika), Wirt Johnson, Seth Johnson, Kaleta Johnson, Thomas, Wyatt, William and Allie Johnson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Sharon Johnson Starr and Buck Johnson (Patty); her niece Kari Beck (David); her stepdaughter Erica Cozewith (Andy); her great-nieces, Emmy Irene Beck and Lily Frances Beck; and her grandchildren, Harrison, Henry Leusink, Leah and Rachel Cozewith. She is also survived by the children and grandchildren.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be given to any dog shelter or rescue league in honor of Shirley's love of dogs.
