He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Thornton (Davis); his wife Carol Thornton; and his brothers, Wayne and Cloyce Thornton. He is survived by: his parent Haron O. Thornton; his grandson Albert; his daughters, Jodi Lindsey (Kennie) and Laurie Miller (Jimmie); his stepdaughter Debra Wiley; his siblings, Davis Thornton, William Thornton and Thelma Hill; and his grandchildren, Sydne Lane, Taylor Lambert, Blake Lindsey, Blane Miller, Bryce Miller, Bailee Layton, Robby Miller and Britney French. He is also survived by his 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home (1401 Halsell St, Bridgeport, TX 76426). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at the Paradise Cemetery.
