Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olin Denton and Ruby Lee Denton (Prater); and her husband Ernest "Burt" Lancaster. She is survived by: her sons, Alvin Qualls, Jr. (Bobbi) of Bridgeport and Daniel Selman (Diana) of Fort Worth; and her stepchildren, Danny Lancaster (Jenny) of Canyon, Michael Lancaster (Cindy) of Kingsland, Mark Lancaster of Odem and Tracy Lawson (David) of Hobbs.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hawkins Funeral Home (1909 9th St, Bridgeport, TX 76426). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the East Bridgeport Cemetery (400 17th St, Bridgeport, TX 76426).
