She was predeceased by : her parents, William R. Hurst and Julina Hurst (Tomlin); her husband Gordon Taylor; her daughter Karen Bijak; her sister Naivaline Dickerson (Harry); and her nieces, Rebecca Dickerson and Loretta Karbowski.
She is survived by : her daughters, Jo Ellen Knight (Bill) of Sanger and Elaine Hays (Tracy) of Runaway Bay, Texas; her grandchildren, David Knight (Bridget) of Decatur, Katherine Myers of Sanger, Taylor Hays (Krista) of Lubbock, Joanna Piatt (Jake) of Denton, Rachel Amezquita (Joshua) of Spring Branch, Ryan Hays of Coppell and Caleb Hays of Dallas; her great grandchildren, Kynslee, Kamdyn Knight, Dylan, Avery Myers, Hollyn, Brynn Hays, Carson of Kade, KJ, Rae, Noami, Mia Piatt, Lincoln, Isla and Jonathan Amezquita; her nieces, Harriet Almeguer (Jim) of Spring Branch, Martha Ragley, Faber and Virgina; her great-niece Sarah Grebe (Travis); and also Harrison of New Braunfels.
Mim was a strong woman of faith and that faith carried her through the loss of her daughter, being bedridden for a year after falling and breaking her hip, and a year of isolation during Covid.
