She was predeceased by: her parents, James Joel and Dolly Long; her grandchild Tristan Butler; her son Gary Caffey; her son-in-law Gary Weatherby; her daughter Suzanne Hooper; and her siblings, A. J., James (Shorty), Theodore, Johnny (J. R.), Louella, Lovenia and Lenora.
She is survived by: her husband Dwain Pruitt; her pet Angel; her sister Lavelta Doolin (Bob); her daughters, Donna Weatherby, Laura Brown (Charlie), Valarie Nixon and Leslie Nixon; her grandchildren, Brittany Hearn (Steven), John Burdett (Jennifer), Jason Halfmann (Taylor) and Starzy Lee (Rashad); and her friend Johnnie Andrewson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shaffer Funeral Home - Bronte (509 S State St, Bronte, TX 76933). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Central Baptist Church (324 S Franklin St, Bronte, TX 76933).
