He is survived by: his wife Joy Shell Adkins; his children, Daniel Adkins, Deborah Adkins, Elizabeth Webb (Mark) and Mary Cocke (John); his grandchildren, Jonas Adkins, Emily Webb, Patrick Webb, Andrew Cocke, Jack Cocke and Augustus Cocke; his siblings, Thomas Adkins (Elizabeth) and Molly Adkins; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Shell (Marla), Rosemary Tanner (David) and John Shell.
