He was predeceased by : his parents-in-law, Jonathan and Jo Ellen Lewerke; his grandparents, Edward, Myrtle Jacobs, Bertrum and Christine Court; and his pet Lucy Jacobs.

He is survived by : his parents, Dean Jacobs and Bonnie Jacobs (Court); his father-in-law Woodharbor Cabinetry; his wife Brenda; his children, Benjamin, Katherine, Anna and Isabel; his siblings, Connie Jacobs Thompson and Doug Jacobs; and his siblings-in-law, Aimee, Lawerence Schroeder, Ben, Julie Lewerke, Jonathan and Stephanie Lewerke.

During the pandemic in 2020, Robert took a nursing job in one of Houston, TX's "hotspots" and completed his career at Houston Methodist West Hospital.
