He was predeceased by : his parents, Mabrey Clyde Curtner and Sadie Nichols (Stapleton); his wife Katherine Curtner; his grandson Jacob Davis; his stepfather Eddie Nichols; and his siblings, Agnes Johnson, Glen Curtner and Wayne Nichols.

He is survived by : his daughters, Timi Russell of Houston, Donna Reynolds of League City, Joy Boulos (Joseph) of Alvin and Vencie Smith of Houston; his sister Karen Andrus of Brenham; and his friend Ryan Jentzen of Brookshire. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
