She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Barrera and Berta P. Barrera; and her brothers, Dagobeto and Jose R. Barrera. She is survived by: her husband Ruben Guerra; her children, Robert Daniel Guerra (Sheri), Richard Dean Guerra (Mary Elizabeth) and Beverly J. Anzaldúa (Armando); her sister Alma B. Torres; and her grandchildren, Rebecca, Sarah, Jeremy Guerra (Alison), Jennifer Espinoza (Adan), Estanislao Anzaldúa (Francisca) and Richelle Guerra. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren along with several nephews and nieces.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Darling-Mouser Funeral Home - East Chapel (945 Palm Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78520). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1914 Barnard Rd, Brownsville, TX 78520). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Buena Vista Burial Park (5 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521).
