He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Jones and Beatriz Jones; his parents-in-law, Roberto L. Treviño and Sara Medrano Treviño; and his siblings-in-law, Gilberto Treviño and Orelia "Lele" Garcia.
He is survived by: his wife Delia Treviño Jones; his sons, David Samuel Jones (Erica), Christopher Roberto Jones and Samuel Robert Jones (Jada); his siblings, Ivonne "Bonnie" Gomez, Diane Rodriguez (Mike), Gloria Jones Rodriguez (Jose), Sam Paul Jones, Beatriz "Bea" Jones Salazar (Randy) and Laura Tamayo (Frank); and his grandchildren, Samantha and Devin.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace. A Mass will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe (1200 Lincoln St, Brownsville, TX 78521). The military honors will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Buena Vista Burial Park (5 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521).
