She was predeceased by : her parents, Telesforo S. Solis and Maria; her daughter Juanita Tejeda Solis; her former life partner Rolando Tejeda; her husband Elmer Walk; and her siblings, Margaret S. Para, Sara S. Lerma, Elvia S. Yarbrough, Maria Isabel S. Thomas, Maria Elena S. Cruz, Ofelia S., Rosa S. Worden and Telesforo "Tony" Solis Gomez.

She is survived by : her children, Rolando Tejeda II, Hector Tejeda (Ana Cristina Martinez), Irma Sandra Tejeda (Alberto Najera) and Aminda Tejeda Sneed; her sister Sylvia Solis Blackmore; and her sister-in-law Norma Solis. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of floral arrangements and customary remembrances, donations in memory of Irma may be made to the American Stroke Association.
