He was predeceased by: his parents, Emitt Loyd and Nan Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Zana Byrd; his children, Lori Overton (Bob), Kristie Byrd (Jason), James Byrd (Jennifer), Paul Infinger (Bobbie Jo) and Jennifer Lowe (Darrin); his grandchildren, Zoey Overton, Zane Overton, Spencer Arden, Cruz Arden, Jace Valerio, Junny Valerio, Aiden Byrd, Phoenix Solis, Jensen Limer, Blaize Infinger (Heather), Quade Infinger, Landon Lowe, Parker Lowe and Rhett Lowe; and his brother John Byrd (Jimma) of San Saba.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church building fund.
