He was predeceased by : his former life partner Dorothy Wager; his parents, Tado Wager and Lena Wager; his son Troy Wager; and his siblings, Travis Wager, Shirley Hintz and Alma Ciders.

He is survived by : his wife Marie Wager; his sons, Travis Wager (Colleen) and Jason Wager (Tracy); his stepchildren, Rodney Welch (Cheryl), Mike Welch (Beverly), Tom Welch C. and Edi Andrews; and his grandchildren, Josh Wager (Kim), Erik Wager, Dustin Wager (Aliza), Cody Wager (Amber), Chance Wager, Tamara Graham (Larry), Katelyn Rumfield (Cody), Karlyn Wilder (Jayce), Tori Vidaurri (Abel) and Brandi Lindeman. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hillier Funeral Home & Cremations (2301 E 29th St, Bryan, TX 77802). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Zion Church of Kurten (977 FM2038, Bryan, TX 77808). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM.
