She was predeceased by: her daughter Dr. Brenda Sue Riley; her mother Mary Francis Browne; her siblings, Bobby D. Browne and Sarah Black; her grandmother Nettie Stricklin; her uncle Arthur Stricklin; and her stepfather Charles Browne.
She is survived by: her husband Colonel James Riley; her daughter Carolyn; her son-in-law Michael Sherman of Mountain Home, Texas; her granddaughter Lt. Colonel Heather Leal (Victor) of Schertz, Texas; her great grandchildren, Andrew, Andrea and Adrian Leal; and her sisters-in-law, Bernadette Riley and Sue Riley. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (600 E 26th St, Bryan, TX 77803). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
