He is survived by: his wife Brenda Steffenhagen; his sons, Dwaine Benson (Kim Wisner) and Darren (Michelle Benson); his grandchildren, Brianna Benson, Dylan Benson and Ryan Benson; and his siblings, Zara Reis, Char Starr, Alice Berry, Nan Sanders, Jane Reed and C. W. Benson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
