He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam B. Pate and Virginia Pate; his son Drew; his sisters, Helen (Bill Bailey) and Betty Nell (Lonnie Wilkerson); his brother-in-law Chester Jones; his parents-in-law, Alvin and Helen Drews; and his brother-in-law Donald Drews.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Ann; his son Mark (Chandra); his daughter-in-law Feli; his siblings, Martha Ray Jones and Sam B. Pate, Jr. (Judy); and his brothers-in-law, James Drews (Barbara) and Billy Drews (Connie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
