She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Young and Rachel Young; and her sister Patricia (Author Gooden). She is survived by: her uncle Leon Williams; her aunts, Ammie Edwardes and Lessie Gulley; her nieces, Takeitha Gooden and Angela Walker; and her nephew Arthur Gooden, Jr.. She is also survived by four brothers; a host of other relatives and friends.
