It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doxie Wootan (Bryan, Texas), born in Abilene, Texas, who passed away on August 9, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Orley Cannon and Alice Cannon (Bennett); her brother Ted; her husband Charley V. Wootan; her daughter Debra; her son-in-law Gary Roberson of Menard; her son Richard; her daughter-in-law Jean Wootan of Dallas; her grandchildren, Clint Roberson (Rosie) of Menard, Tom Roberson of Menard, Steve Roberson of Menard, Sam Wootan of Austin, Mary Beth Wootan Holst (Bryan) of Norfolk and Virginia; and her great grandchild Margaret Grace Holst.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Doxie's name to St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
