“I am so sorry to hear of the passing of this great man. I met him in 1974 at my very first job as Secretary in the Bexar County Extension Office. He was our District Director. He was the first man I ever knew who wore a suit to work. He was so impressive and well-respected. I only got to see him a few times, but I really admired him. I got to know him well enough to kid around with him . I kept asking him about hiring someone tall, single, and unattached. He got a kick out of that.”
