He was predeceased by: his mothers, Frances Leroy Jr. and Doris Mae Johnson (Bowman); and his wife Sharon Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Melvin Johnson (Leslie) of Benchley, TX and Helen (James Elliott) of Calvert, TX; his sister Lola Diane of Victoria, TX; his grandchildren, Justin Shadoan, Stetson Johnson (Ali), Cody Johnson, Sierra Johnson, David Litton, Blaire Elliott and John Minter; and his great grandchildren, Bo Johnson, Lola Johnson, Remi Shadoan, Ashton Litton, AJ Litton and Luna Elliott. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
