He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank J. Kocman and Mary Agnes Regmund; his wife Helga Machentanz; his daughter Donna Thompson; and his brothers, Bill and Donald "Cotton" Kocman.
He is survived by: his children, Frank Wm (Bill), Carl Kocman (Christina) and Linda Kocman; and his grandchildren, Kim Tunnell, Kyle Kocman, Paige Kocman Adams and Cameron Kocman Homeyer. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
