He was predeceased by: his siblings, Delores Knighton and Robert Lavender; and his parents, Lucille Lavender and Cecil Lavender. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lavender; his daughter Lisa Mercure of Bryan, Texas; his grandchildren, Hannah and Brett Mercure; his siblings, Brenda Smith and Raymond Lavender; and his sisters-in-law, Ginger (Tommy Lanehart), Debbie Burch and Janie Burch. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
