He was predeceased by: his wife Mercedes; his son Bobby Adams; his parents, Pedro Adams and Julia Adams; his parents-in-law, Ascension and Rosa Almanza; his son-in-law Jerry Lynn Lloyd; his sisters, Marcela Mendoza and Olivia Gomez; and his siblings-in-law, Josephina Adams, Jose Antonio Almanza, Paul Gomez and Frank Aguirre.
He is survived by: his daughter Irene Martinez; his sons-in-law, Manuel (Lisa Lloyd) and Ozgur Bozkurt; his grandchildren, Michael Martinez, Valerie Marsteller, Daniella Martinez, Gabrielle Lloyd, Isabella Lloyd, Christian Lloyd and Colette Bozkurt; and his brother Lee Adams. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
