Hallie Ruth McVey Reed Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Hallie Ruth McVey Reed in Bryan, Texas is shared. Hallie, born on February 3, 1936 in Paint Rock, Texas, passed away on September 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Hallie will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Hallie by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Hallie is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Hallie’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.

She was predeceased by: her husband Robert McVey; her friend Delbert Reed; her parents, William Cleveland and Flora Cleveland; and her son William Clifton (Bubba).

She is survived by: her daughter Linda; her husband Delbert Reed; her son-in-law Greg Masinelli; her grandchildren, Wes Hardin, Blake Hardin and Christa Curry; and her siblings, Billie Cleveland Elliott and Dwayn Cleveland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Sidney Baptist Church.
