She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond and Pauline (Weyer); her son Timothy "Justin" Schaid (Leslie); her husband Jack Gordon; her son-in-law Stephen; and her sister Judy Chamberlain.
She is survived by: her former husband Arnold Richard Schaid; her children, Joan (Kathleen Fleck), Monica Fierce (Stephen), Teresa Filtz (William), Daniel Schaid (Pamela), Charity Beveridge (Kelly), Rebecca Burkley, Jeff Schaid and Kerstin Herrod (Scott); her stepdaughters, Jill Evans (Jim) and Jennifer Vinson (Duke); her grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Kami, Kenzie, Kyle, Ashley, Cayla, Christopher, Ian, Evan, Kai, Lucas, Wolfgang, Lauren and Sydney; and her great grandchildren, Kennedy and Westin.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Harrold Zion Lutheran Church honoring Joan's lifelong dedication to helping others.
