He was predeceased by: his brother Sam. He is survived by: his wife Mildred; his sons, John Andrew Ricca (Janet) of Bryan and David Mark Ricca (Mary Ann) of Bryan; his grandchildren, Lauren (Layne Scott) of Little Elm, Rachel (Keith Burnett) of Celina and John David (Emily Ricca) of Tennessee; and his great grandchildren, Klein Ashlee Burnett, Crawford Zachary Burnett, Remi Belle Ricca, Quinn Rae Ricca and Joey Sloan Ricca.
