She was predeceased by: her parents, Ona Lee and Etta Viola Gibson; her grandparents, John Henry, Ella Mae Gibson, Frank and Jewel Klinglesmith; her siblings, Linda Faye Foster, Inez Sanchez, Willie Grace Gibson, Juanita Gibson and Tommy Charles Gibson; and her son Victor Louis Perkins, III.

She is survived by: her sisters, Jewel Anderson, Koquilla Loys Hannibal and Karen Callaway; her children, Shawn Lee Perkins and Linda; her son-in-law Joseph Foster; her grandchildren, Daniel Shawn, Kamryn Lee, Nicklos Wayne and Charity Nickole; and her great grandchild Raya Diane. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
