He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Styers and Anna Styers Sr.; and his siblings, Murphy Lane Styers, Victor Styers, Jr., Gerald Wayne Styers, Shirley Marie Tompkins, Gladys Simmons, Carol Sue Thomas, Dana Styers Thompson and Marla Sue Styers.
He is survived by: his wife Zolene Styers; his children, James Wayman Styers (Mary), Lamar Davis (Mitzi), Danita Ann Russell (Billy Don) and Marti LouAnn Fowler (Stephen); and his brother Jimmy Styers (Loleen). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 7/8 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
