He is survived by: his mother Lupe Moncibiaz Castillo; his children, April Collins (Cody), Manuel Amaya Jr., Chelly, Diego Amaya and Omar Amaya; his grandchildren, Jordan Amaya, Giovani Amaya and Drew Collins; and his siblings, Pete Amaya Jr. (Cindy), Mike Amaya, Robert Amaya (Linda), Richard Amaya, Paul Amaya (Nikki) and Frances Pittman (Anthony).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory (3001 S. College Ave., Bryan, TX 77801). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Bryan City Cemetery (1111 N Texas Ave, Bryan, TX 77803).
