She was predeceased by : her husband Albert E. Waters; her daughter Jerri Dean Carlson; her parents, Thomas Herbert and Tempie Black Burnett; and her brothers, Arvell Burnett and Proctor Burnett.

She is survived by : her son James E. Waters; and her daughter-in-law Lynda. She is also survived by five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
