It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Dixon of Bryan, Texas, born in Hazlehurst, Georgia, who passed away on January 23, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. James R. Dixon; her parents, Arley Finley and Madelyn Finley; and her siblings, Grace, Madelyn, Joe, Bob and Betty.
She is survived by: her children, Maya Dixon (Gary), James Dixon (Lanore), Tana Ryan, Dawn Gaston (Bill) and Toby Dixon (Cynthia); and her siblings, Martha, Arley and Art. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of College Station, Texas (2300 Welsh Ave, College Station, TX 77845).
