With solemn reverence, we commemorate Merl Smith of Bryan, Texas, whose life came to an end on June 1, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Smith and Ruby C. Smith; and his siblings, Evelyn, Mary, Violet Ruby, Norman, Lola Maude, Wilma (Jenky), James (Buddy), John (Bob), Bill, Betty Jean and Byford (Buck).
He is survived by: his wife Kay Smith; his children, Kenneth Speaks (Shelly), Shelley Smith, Keli K. Faucett (Danny) and Kevin Speaks (Lesley); his brother Earl Smith (Ginger); his daughter Jennifer Dockery; and his grandchildren, Krystopher Damian (Brittany), Tyler Speaks, Khrystynne Welch (Bryan), Seth Speaks (Kara Blaisdell), Bailey Willems (Tanner), Kaylen Speaks, Beau, Houston Dockery and Kayla Jackson (CJ). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and very close friends.
