He is survived by: his wife Jane Cates Riggs; his children, Betsy Riggs Rains (Nathan) and Bill Riggs (Sarah); his grandchildren, Madison Rains Stone (Sam), Taylor Rains Wilson (Chris), Caleb Rains, Joshua Rains, Daniel Rains, Jackson Riggs, Hudson Riggs, Greyson Riggs and Emerson Riggs; his great grandchildren, Emma Kate Stone, Ivy Wilson and Olen Wilson; and his caregiver Rubbie Green.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Scotty's House.
