He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Ponzio and Mary Emola Ponzio; his brothers, Pat, Luke, Sam, Joe, Louis and Johnny Ponzio; his siblings-in-law, Dominick, Rose Morrell Restivo, Mike Lampo, Gene Beger, Sam Santana, Angie Ponzio, Charlotte Ponzio, Laura Ponzio, Jessie Lee Ponzio, Lucille Restivo Beger and Concetta Restivo Santana; and his son Gary Paul.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Restivo Ponzio; his children, Bernie Ponzio and Geralyn Ponzio; his son-in-law Howard West; his sons, Raymond (Melinda Ponzio) and David Ponzio; his grandchildren, Chelsi and Danny Bass; his stepgrandsons, Brian, John and Skylar Perez; his great grandchildren, Harper and Weston Bass; his sister Sally Lampo; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Ponzio and Diana Ponzio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
