He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Jones and Pearl Jones; his wife Lottie; and his siblings, Linton Jones, Thomas Robert Jones, Earl Mathis Jones and Ruth Elizabeth Hary (Jones).

He is survived by: his son Stuart Jones (Mindy); his sister Irene Simmons of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and his sister-in-law Janie Jones of San Antonio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
