He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Barto Phipps and Mae Phipps (Williams); his siblings, Curt, Janie Sue, Dovie Patricia, Jesse, Effie and Edith; his grandson Justin Middleton; his stepgrandchild Morgean Kessler; and his former wife Mae Wilkins.
He is survived by: his children, Curtis Wayne (Karen), Bobby (Kelly), Amanda (Josh) and Dove (Richard); his grandchildren, Cristina, Anthony, Amber, Brandon and Sonny; his great grandchild Hazel; his wife Glenda Phipps; his stepdaughters, Ginger (Matt), Missy (Martin) and Melanie; his stepgrandchildren, Andrew, Adrianne, Alex, Ryan, Emma, Kelcye, Madison, Jamie and Devan; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kayden, Kamdyn, Jace, Dani, Amiyah, Addie and Malakai; and his sisters, Margie and Elizabeth (Babe). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
