He is survived by: his wife Vickie Schmidt (Black); his daughter Robyn (Michael Kennedy) of Virginia; his brother Dennis (Joanne Schmidt) of Georgia; his grandchildren, Zoe Kennedy and Charlie Kennedy; his siblings-in-law, Janet Porter and Jerry (Nora Black); and his nieces, Laura (Scott Gilleland) and Leslie (Tommy Luhn).
