He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter A. Smith and Irene Vernon Smith of Bryan; his son Clinton; his in-laws, Cecil and Lucile Lavender; and his siblings-in-law, Delores Knighton (Jack) and Robert Lavender.
He is survived by: his friend Andy Eubanks; his wife Brenda; his children, Pamela (Brad Beard), Angela (Donnie Tussey), Jackie (Brad McPherson), Ken (Tammy Luther) and Chris Luther; his brother Paul; his sister-in-law Margie Smith; his grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob, Emma Beard, Dylan, Ellie Tussey, Tyler, Braden, Maddie McPherson and Courtney Luther; and his siblings-in-law, Gilbert Lavender (Patsy), Raymond Lavender and Josie Lavender. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews, cousins & friends.
