He was predeceased by: his mother Annie Pearl McCown (Ronnie); his wife Peggy McCown; his mother Odus McCown; his brother Odus Gene McCown; and his granddaughter Rachel Elizabeth McCown.

He is survived by: his son Kerry Dee McCown (Ronnie); his daughter-in-law Susan McCown; his granddaughter LillyAnne McCown; his parents-in-law, Mildred and Art Reine; Flossie Cook and Jim Cook. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and countless friends.
