She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Joseph Krobot and Lydia Tracy Dockal Krobot; her husband Joe Lys; her son Donald Lane Lys; her brother Stanley Frank Krobot; and her siblings-in-law, Alice McDonald Krobot, Joe Don Brymer, Joe Apodaca, James Jones, Elwood Wright "Mac" McCary, Robert Lys, Lee "Bill" Lys, Georgia Lys Apodaca, Elsie Lys Jones, Gladys Lys McCary and Lynda Patterson Lys.

She is survived by: her daughter Janice Lys Martin (Don Martin) of Bryan; her daughter-in-law Sharalynne Hester Lys of Bryan; her grandchildren, Brenna Lys Wilkins (Ian Wilkins) of Bryan, Jared Lys (Courtney Lys) of Bryan and Cameron Lys (Taylor Lys) of Bryan; her great grandchildren, Payton Wilkins, Bentley Wilkins, Faith Avalos-Lys, Kase Lys and Harper Lys; her sister Martha Krobot Brymer of Caldwell; and her sister-in-law Bessie Ann Lys of Navasota. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, or Twin City Mission in Bryan.
