We announce the death of Russell James Maggs Jr. of Bryan, Texas, who passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 79. Russell will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Russell will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Russell’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell James Maggs Sr. and Katherine Maggs; and his father-in-law Daniel Starr. He is survived by: his wife Debra Maggs; his mother-in-law Betty Starr; his daughters, Kimberly Maggs and Kelli Regini (JC Regini); his granddaughter Cassidy Regini; and his siblings, Joseph Maggs (Debbie) and Patricia Cox (Ralph). He is also survived by numerous extended family members, dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Covenant Fund at the Langford in remembrance of Jim.
